To the People of God everywhere, Our Honored President, Barack Obama , our esteemed Members of Congress, and all Americans, PEACE and GRACE I write today to address my concerns over the mounting conflict in Syria and our potential for involvement in it. Many world religious leaders have condemned any attack on Syria and for good reasons. War is an evil we must find a solution to. We hear the cries of the People of Syria and for our brother and sister Christians, Jews, and Moslems who are affected by the horrors taking place by the current regime in Syria. WE DECRY the acts of barbarism perpetrated by ALL involved, especially the SYRIAN GOVERNMENT! Do not be fooled, the eyes of the world are upon you and truth cannot be hidden! Yet, though we, as a Nation, feel we cannot stand idly by while a corrupt government slaughters it’s own people, we must ask the question: Is a strike against Syria, a sovereign nation, warranted? My conclusion, having sought the good counsel of persons more qualified than I and in prayer, must state that any STRIKE on SYRIA is UNJUSTIFIED! I therefor beg you , Honored President Barack Obama, and esteemed Members of Congress to abandon ANY and ALL AUTHORIZATION TO STRIKE SYRIA! Let us use the vast resources of this nation to find a better solution, one that will assure that Syria and her people be freed from tyranny and bloodshed with out the intervention of war. We are a great nation, a strong and noble nation and we must choose the better part now and VOTE NO TO WAR! God Bless you, Sincerely, Rt. Rev.
