To the RPN students, If youre thinking about applying for the BSCN (bridging) program, I highly recommend you do because good luck finding an RPN position unless youre at least nearing 30years old & have PSW experience. Teachers talk about all the opportunities out there for us but the truth is there are opportunities, IF you have several years of RPN experience, especially charge nurse experience, but thats hard to come by straight out of school. Myself and many friends have applied to hundreds of jobs to get 1 or 2 interviews just to be asked about our charge nurse experience in the interview and than were never called back. So instead we continue to work the same minimum wage jobs we had before school except now we have thousands of dollars in debt. -& End Rant Sincerely, a broke, jobless RPN grad
