To the entire Twisted Broadway Community, 2014 marks five years of Twisted Broadway in Australia, and the distance between Melbourne and New York feels a lot greater as I cannot be with you tonight. Watching the last weeks of production come to a close from the other side of the world has reiterated how incredibly dedicated and passionate our team really is, and I cannot express how proud and humbled I am by all involved. Chris Parker , Kate Macdonald, Trevor Jones, Jake Jarrett, and Tim Sabatino-Jones have moved mountains to lead what will be our largest show yet. I was 19 when the show first premiered, and to see the industry embrace us as it has, five years on, is very much a pinch yourself moment for me. I would never have imagined that we would have grown so quickly, and with such strong support. This is due to the cumulative efforts of all the cast and production teams, past and present, who continue to lend their time and talent to Twisted Broadway and Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Melbournetown, you are like no other place in the world. If you are in the audience tonight, Im going to ask you to clap extra loud for five fabulous years of Twisted Broadway on my behalf.
