To the woman I really love, My Lola. She took care of me and has always been by my side since I was two. She raised me up and supported me for the past 18 years. She gave me everything a parent should give to her child. She is not just a guardian or a grandmother to me. She became both a mother and a father that is willing to give her all to be a good provider. She became my defender, my strength and my inspiration. But suddenly, she got sick and things turned upside down. From being my strength she became my weakness. Two years ago she was diagnosed with cancer, everyone in our family suffered from emotional stress and cried, but when she saw how much our hearts were breaking she said, “Wag na kayong malungkot, ayaw ko kayong nasasaktan, mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat at masaya na akong mamamatay.” She even said, “Gusto kong magpagamot, para masuportahan ko paren ang pag-aaral ni Jerimie.” I was moved by her courage that I realized instead of wallowing I should do everything that I can and give my all to protect and take care of her. I wanted to be by her side while she’s still in our lives. Her battle with her illness was too tough that no matter how strong she is, it came to the point that she got tired of fighting. She became restless and she keeps on moaning about the pain that she is going through. Mas masaket para sa amin na nakikita syang nagsuffer dahil dun. Kya mas inisip namen na tanggapin na lang ang mangayayare. Dahil yun ang gusto nya , na wag kaming malulungkot. Hanggang sa huli mas iniisip nya paden ang nararamdaman namin. Ganon nya ipinakita sa amin kung gano nya kami kamahal. Walang katumbas lahat nang naitulong mo saken La. Sana naramdaman mo yung pagmamahal na meron kame sayo nung nabubuhay ka pa. Na sa tuwing nakikita ka naming naka-ngiti ay napawi na lahat nang saket na naidulot nang mga nangyare sa amin. Maraming maraming salamat Lula. Mahal na mahal kita. At mamimiss kita Lula. :’((
