To those of you that didnt know, I did something incredibly dumb yesterday. I was working under a 8000+ lbs pound SUV with a bad e-brake and didnt re-chock the wheels after I moved the vehicle. Its not hard to imagine what happened next. It rolled and I was rolled under the running boards with it. Think of how you roll a lemon before you juice it... my upper torso was the lemon. I ended up a foot from the back wheel and a much worse outcome. I came away with scratches, bruises, bruised ribs, a dislocated rib, and a pissed off back. I must be part gumby because it should have been worse. All considered, lm ok. I write this as a life lesson i hope others heed. Dont take anything for granted and no matter how mundane the task, do things the right way. I can barely get in in out of bed today and I was lucky beyond belief.
