To whomever it may concern, As a concerned citizen of the Facebook community, I am writing this letter in regards to the egregious attempt at humor in my last post concerning a catastrophic mishap on the set of Sesame Street. Despite the fact I snickered and laughed outright several times in the course of writing it, I am appalled at the nerve of myself having depicted Muppets in flames, a helpless blind musical genius tripping over a garbage can, and Jim Henson, a wonderfully caring and sympathetic human being before he finally kicked the bucket, shouting profanities. The recklessness of this post brings to mind such comedy skits one might see from the National Lampoon writers, or from the early days of Saturday Night Live, or from any other comedy troupe in the days before political correctness. Yes, I agree that real humor is not meant to be polite, but there comes a time in this day and age when a person must grown up and become thin skinned like the majority of American society. I further wish to add if I were my own Facebook friend, I would unfriend myself out of spite. In the future I promise only to post items relating to the weather, countless pictures of myself, prayer requests, videos of child abuse, political disenchantment, pointless rants such as this one, and any attempts at humor will only involve flatulence.
