Foster or Adopter NEEDED ASAP!!!! - Memphis, TN Importance: High If anyone deserves another chance, it is Toby. Poor Toby was saved from death by terrible kids that tried to hang Toby behind Patricia’s house. Thank God she was home to intervene and save Toby, but as you will read below, Toby just hasn’t had a break and needs saving again. He desperately needs a home, especially since he now knows what it is like to have a home and be loved. Please share with all. He just has to get a break. Please contact Patricia at phurdle@doglover. email me or call my cell - 901 438 6187. Thanks! From: Patricia Hurdle [mailto:phurdle@doglover] Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2014 1:16 PM Hi Everyone, Most of you will probably remember Toby - the baby I rescued back in January 2013 from being hung over a ditch behind my house. He is now 100% healthy and needs a HOME ASAP. Toby is not doing well AT ALL in a shelter environment. He has cage rage (thats what I call it) and needs to get out. He was adopted by a very nice family a few months ago but unforeseen problems with their landlord happened and they had to let him go. (PLEASE RESERVE ANY JUDGEMENT/COMMENTS - TOBY IS THE FOCUS OF THIS). They were heartbroken and let another family member have him but she is an elderly lady and Toby was just too much for her to handle. NO fault of his - he is still young and energetic so it wasnt the right setting for him. He was already very upset once he got to Sunny Meadows after heartworm treatment & other vetting. Now that he is back from being in a HOME - he has gotten worse. It is breaking my heart to see him this way - I feel responsible for his misery. Not to say the life he had before I stepped in was any better (he would be dead now) but it is still very hard to watch him decline. We are SO full that they have to rotate doggies in the play yards so they dont always get into a yard on a daily basis so when Toby is in his kennel, they have to use 2 to 3 bungee cords to keep the door/gate shut because he just flings himself against it to get out. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE share this with ALL your contacts. There were SO many responses when I first rescued him and I know it was because everyone crossposted. PLEASE do it again. We had offers of adoption from people in different states at the time of his rescue and I hope we can get that again. I need ALL the help I can get. I just cant stand seeing him this way. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to email me or call my cell - 901 438 6187. THANK YOU.
