Toda, I had a though time at work.I received a patient in the psychiatric because he was brought I for a suicide atempt. The thing is the patient exploded in rage because he felt neglected by his doctor (I.e sadly enough the true). Anyway, the person in question expressed his anger and end up being sent to room were aggressive people go ( you know the one from the movies, white wall and etc.). Well when he got there he started begging us not to live him there. Throughout his laments I kinda felt pity fo him, I really wanted to let him go, but as a professional I had to do the right thing.So we locked him up ( my team and I). I have done his before but it was the first time that I was begged by a patient that showed so much despair in his eyes . Bottom line, I felt like I had to share this. Sometimes,I really wonder if the hospital doesn t mess up more the people than it helps them.
