Today 11 Oct 2014 International Day of the Girl Child Theme: Empowering Adolescent Girls: Ending the Cycle of Violence To mark the occasion, Sangam University Bhilwara Rajasthan took pride in saluting the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winners Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan and Kailash Satyarthi.of India. Keeping in mind the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon message for the day - On this International Day of the Girl Child, I call on all governments to take action to end all forms of violence against girls in all parts of the world. Together, we must create a world where violence against women and girls is never tolerated and girls are always empowered to reach their full potential , the faculty and students of Sangam University took a vow to save the girl child and also stop the evil of child marriage.
