Today, Caylen asked again about how babies are made. Previously, I had explained that an egg from mama has to meet a sperm from papa to form a baby. That satisfied his need to know. Today, he needed more information. He wanted to know how something from papa crosses over to mama. I asked, What do you think Caylen? He offered his theory: Maybe when papa and mama hold hands and stand very close together, something flows from one to the other. :) But when I asked him if everyone who held hands could have babies, he smiled as he realised this could not be the case. My mind raced as l tried to weigh how much information is appropriate... But l knew we definitely want to be his source of information and values. I tried giving him vague generalities, but saw from his face that he was not impressed. Should I explain now or later? Is it too early? What does he need to know? Will it do him good or harm to know at this time? (To be continued)
