Today Family in Paris I was able to do two special things. I photographed a statue of the great African-French writer Alexander Dumas, pere. He was the one that wrote the Three Musketeers. This statue I only became familiar with last night. This morning I found it and photographed it. For me this was quite an accomplishment and I love to honor our Ancestors--and Dumas was one of the greatest of the great. After my meeting with Alexandre Dumas, pere I journeyed to the Cernuschi Museum. Paris is a city of museums and the Cernuschi has only Chinese art. And in the very center of the first salon is La Tigresse--a 3100 year old bronze libation vessel from Shang Dynasty China that depicts a tigress holding and protecting a small Black man. It is a masterpiece. And that is what I did in Paris this morning.
