Today, Governor Inslee announced he has appointed King County Superior Court Judge Mary Yu to take the place of former archconservative Justice Jim Johnson, who was Tim Eymans last remaining friend on the Washington State Supreme Court. Whereas Johnson was once the coauthor of an Eyman initiative, Yu is one of the few Superior Court judges who have struck down an Eyman initiative as unconstitutional. What an upgrade. Good choice, Governor Inslee!
