Today Hazel and Harper checked out of the Sarasota Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center . Hazels kidney values are improved but still not within normal limits. However, tonight she ate like a champ. Harpers tracheal wash came back as bacterial pneumonia, something he had when pulled from the shelter that the vets think was never fully treated previously. We are still waiting for the swab results to see about secondary infection. I have to give a HUGE shout out to the ER doctors, especially Dr Lippo who I think never sleeps, Dr Depto and Dr Ellis for her generosity and the entire team for their compassion. Simply the best!
