Today I am going to talk about few crew members from the shoot. I am going to talk about the rest on other days. 1. P.V Moorthi - head of MMU - silicon valley. I usually have some one more experienced and wiser than me on the set so that my work is under scrutiny and I am on my toes. Murthy, our co-director, took over the set while I was focused on actors and camera. He made sure everyone does what they are supposed to do..and no one in unclear of their duties. He also rightly suggested my shooting pacing needs to be faster which helped me plan much better for the 2nd shoot day. Due to his generous recommendation, I got lot of professional equipment for free during shoot. His insight into dos and donts of shooting in bay area and how to work with people there has been tremendously helpful. 2. William Wood - A professional lighting guy with lot of dedication and focus. William gave his pro insight into how to light things right, how to write good notes for the editor and was kind enough to pickup other crew and drive over 90 miles back and forth for each shooting without any reimbursement. He guided first time asst camera men - Satwik and Hemanth on how to do their jobs right. He also volunteered his lighting and camera gear to enhance to the existing equipment. 3. Deonis - the one who gave half of the life to the film - our director of photography. I worked with him before and he is the most fun guy to work with that has acute knowledge about lighting, exposure, color, white balance, focus , lenses etc - whatever you can think of for camera. He is perfect example of talent meets humbleness. He usually charges quite a bit per day but upon my request reduced his fee to nothing. He volunteered to offer the core of equipment - 2 cameras, awesome long and prime lenses, which gave the freaking awesome look to the shots. He doesnt complain how much ever pain I give him.
