Today I am grateful and thankful for my conscious contact with my higher power. I am grateful and thankful that he communicates with me always and in all ways. I love that I am now aware of his presence in every area of my life. Whether it be in a meeting, talking with a friend, listening to music, or staring at clouds God is communicating with me. Today I have a personal and intimate relationship, a friendship if you will, with God. I know now that I will never be alone and I recognize niw that I never really was. Looking back on my life while in addiction and even before I can clearly see that God was with me all along. It amazes me the miracles and blessings I have had in my lifetime. The God of my understanding has changed and grown over the years but his grace, his love has been constant. Today I am grateful that I can choose to be a vessel, a bringer of the light, to serve God, to carry his message and to carry out his will. Through prayer and meditation and so many other ways he and I talk like old friends. He always and in all ways guides and directs me to do the next right thing.
