Today I am having insulation installed in the roof and walls of my house, courtesy of the British tax payer via Dartford Council. Last week the councillor for Swanscombe died and there is going to be a by election as soon a two local residents ask for one. Not being cynical, but a day after I found out that there will be a by election I got a call from the firm doing the job, asking me if I could have my insulation put in this coming Monday as Dartford council wanted to publicise what they had on offer, and that a Dartford Councillor would be coming along as well. I said yes, because it was freezing in here and I want to make sure we are warmer this winter. The firms surveyor turned up a couple of hours later, checked the place out to make sure everything would go smoothly, and said it could all go ahead. Friday morning I got a call from Kent County Council Media Relations Department to confirm I was OK with having the work done. Covering the work will be local news papers, a film crew, and a local radio station. Wow, is it going to busy in our road today. I thought it was only fair UKIP got a chance to appear in this Party Political photo opportuntiy, so I got my UKIP stuff up first thing this morning. Lovely day as well. Morning all.
