Today I am thankful for Pop Ritchies grandfather. He was born on this day in 1910, in Indiana. At the age of 19 he hitchhiked down to Florida, heading to South America. He met Ritchies grandmother Nana who I will be writing about on Wednesday and never made it to South America. They were married on July 3,1933 and had 3 children Myrtice,Dean and Sheila. Pop drove a bus for the City of St Petersburg and enjoyed Baseball,Lawn Work and Fishing. Pop died in April of 1998 and I miss him very much. He was a wonderful man and even though I only knew him for 3 short years he was the most caring and loving grandfather figure I have known. I lost both my grandfathers one before I was born and the other when I was 18. Happy Birthday in heaven Pop
