Today, I am thankful for my dad. He has always been the rock of our family and a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and uncle. A strong, but gentle spirit. Ive never met anyone who doesnt like and respect my dad. Such a hard worker who instilled a great work ethic in his children. 5 days ago he took ill and had to go into the hospital. Yesterday, the doctor told my mom that his Parkinsons was so advanced that he was terminal (we found out one week ago that he had Parkinsons) and 24 hours later (we thought he had months), at 11:30 this morning, he passed away. We are shocked, confused and heart-broken, BUT we are thankful for who he was, for what he did, thankful he didnt suffer much and thankful it wasnt a long hospital stay. We are also thankful for the blessing of having him in our lives. We love you dad and are going to miss you more than words can say! We tried to contact as many people as possible today, but with the holiday it was difficult. I, too hate finding out news like this on FB, but it is the best way to make sure everyone knows. If you were close to him and didnt get a phone call, please forgive us, we tried. One more thing we are thankful for...your continued prayers.
