Today I asked for answers and thats exactly what I got. Unfortunately they werent exactly what I wanted to hear. Mckenzie Paris has yet another small tumor at the base of her spine which is attached to and compressing the right side of her spinal cord. The neurosurgeon seems to believe that this is some of the cause to the frequent head aches and the problems weve been having with her left leg and feet. I asked what would happen if we leave it alone, the answer was that it would continue to grow and she would slowly lose the function of her legs. With those answers we came to the conclusion that it would be in her best interest to remove the tumor and help un-tether her spinal cord. So again we ask all of our friends and family to keep our baby in your prayers throughout these next couple of weeks. We do not know the exact date of the surgery yet, just that it will be scheduled for a few weeks from today. This one will be at Kosairs Hospital in Louisville and we are expected to stay at least 5 days with weeks of recovery.
