Today I asked my best friend, Jessica Haynes, to marry me. I took her 8 hours away from home to a lighthouse at the end of a very rough terrain. 1/2 mile there, 1/2 mile back. Jagged rocks with very deep crevices. And it just got done pouring down rain. So the boulders were very slippery! After climbing up the ladder and walking around the lighthouse, I told her to look at something in the water. When she turned around, I was down on one knee with a shakey voice and tears in my eyes, holding a diamond ring, just for her. The look on her face was unforgettable. She said yes!!
