Today I attended a beautiful funeral for a dear friend of mine. I have to say it was one of the most lovely services Ive attended in years. The service included a wonderful select chior, an organist and a flutist.There were readings & a friend spoke from his heart in remembering Sal DeFalco. After the church service there was an outdoor reception. I met Sals sisters & had a chance to talk with Claude , Sals life partner.l sat next to Rick Chapa & Joe and just behind Diego Alonso.All I can say is... This was a funeral done right with beauty and compassion. The amount of people at the funeral was a testimony to Sal. He was such a dynamic force within our community. I know I along with many others will miss him for the rest of our lives.RIP Sal. I also sat next to Tim Blanton, who has been my housemate & loving friend for the past 20 years. Today was a tough day....., putting someone to rest is never easy....Tim has sat next to me at many funerals including my moms,Bensons,Pegs & more than I care to remember.....Through it all we manage to hold each other up, because thats what we do..... Thank you for always being there for me Timmy, you made a rough day go a bit easier and I love and appreciate you for that!
