Today I begin the next journey God has planned... For I know the plans I have for you, said the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to bring you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29: 11 I read a post today from a friend, Carol, stating yesterday was her five year anniversary FREE from cancer.....she is now officially a survivor. Yes you are Carol. Even though the trial of cancer was terrible, God used it to work in your life. Today I begin the next journey that God has planned for me. I left my office at the hospital last Wednesday, bare and empty (see picture). There was a lot of emotion that last day as I walked the halls, saw the nurses working, answered questions, and saw patients and families. My entire career as a nurse has been spent in a hospital in some capacity. As people wished me well, I got tears in my eyes several times. So God had been preparing me to live my purpose for the last 38 years......thats how long Ive been a cancer survivor. I have resisted or defied some of the growth opportunities He had for me. I am just a little stubborn. However, He did not give up on me. Last May, my new adventure came to me as an email inquiry and now Im going to live Gods purpose for my life! I am peaceful and humbled!
