Today I got invited to like a dog rescue page. I did so, I like dogs and most animals. But I really wish that there were a similar thing for people. Adopting people is such a complicated and in many cases unnecessarily complicated process. Yes, I understand why it is complicated. To protect the person being adopted. I get that. And yet is is both shameful and pathetic that we cannot adopt people as easily as animals. And it is also pathetic and backward that cases of abuse against those so adopted occur. We live in far from an ideal world where evils of all kinds, individual and organizational, run rampant...
