Today I had a little spare time on my hands and thought I would go - TopicsExpress

Today I had a little spare time on my hands and thought I would go into town and see if the council had managed to mess it up more than it already was, firstly, to my horror the car park was almost full, I thought this is wrong, they need to increase the parking fees to discourage all these people from coming here, I struggled to find a parking space but then found one of those with a wheelchair painted on it, this was good because it was close to the entrance, I’d just parked when, what I can only describe as a Gestapo Officer appeared and told me to move or he would issue me with a parking fine, who do these people think they are? don’t they think the disabled get enough benefits without hogging the best parking spaces as well. This didn’t start my day off too well, but I thought I’d at least be comforted by the sight of the run down town centre, loads of ammunition to fire at the council, but what do I find? building and renovation work going on all over the place and not one of them a pound shop, charity shop or pound pie shop, this is a disgrace, do they not realise if this carries on we’ll lose our place at the top of ’The National Moaners and Wingers League’, people will have to start looking round for some other run down town centre to move to and moan about. Greatly disappointed in what I’d seen I thought “I’ll have a couple of pies from the Pound Pie Shop, they must be horrible the way people moan about them” Oh dear, I must have caught them on a really bad day because they were very nice and only £1, whats going on, nothing is as it should be, and to cap it all as I was about to throw down my unwanted pie bags in the street, as a true Sintelliner would, along comes another waste of council money in a uniform and threatens me with a ’Littering Fine’so I had to deposit in one of the many empty litter bins in the area, that’s another two or three seconds I’ll never get back, and talking about wasting money, what about the ’Turning on the lights’ fiasco, all that money wasted just so the people of the town could have a fun day out and celebrate the run up to Christmas, I mean, there were only a few thousand people turned out to enjoy it, but it did give the backbone of the ‘Stay at Home Moaners and Wingers’ a chance to return us to the top of ’The National Moaners and Wingers League’, well done, keep up the good work. It would seem that nothing can be depended on these days, remember when the Saints played in a cold and miserable cow shed, and each season would promise good things, and then fall at the final hurdle, you’ve heard the expression ‘Flying Colours’, they failed with flying colours, but we could depend on that, look how we’ve been let down yet again, they now play in a brand new up to date stadium and have won two major trophies this year! What on earth is going on?
