Today I had an issue ...as alot of you on July 20 2008 I got hurt .I raised my bottom bunk to reset the inverters that used to be under the bunk and my bunk crashed down on my neck. I tried to continue driving after surgery it didnt work...it wasnt until November of 2012 I made it back. Well today that entire mess hit me face first . I was under my bunk vacuuming and changing my apu filters . With a standard mattress and 1 inch memory foam my bunk struts gave out ... I freaked I panicked I cried I cussed I am however fine ...nothing damaged Thank God This is extremely extremely serious folks in the wrong position this situation can seriously hurt you. . I would beg of anyone raising there bottom bunk brace it up I thought I had mine braced my makeshift brace failed . I am gonna be working with anyone with 1 single ounce of mechanical abilities to help me design something . I lost over 3 years of my driving career and had to fight like hell to make it back.i do not ever want another driver to face those days over failed bunk hinges .
