Today I had my monthly conference call with Racees AMAZING team of therapist!!! Racee is doing well, slow and steady progress!! I was thrilled to learn he is beginning to expand his vocabulary, and was told that me doing our rapping back n forth was a great idea as it allows him to find words without thinking to hard about it! He is doing great with PT and tolerating more balance control, yet is still having difficulty with his left leg, as it wants to lock back at the knee. He is using a walker and doing very well with it, he gets tired and needs frequent breaks but gets right back into it after his little rest! His knee looks great, no swelling, no pain!!!! He is still having a lot of trouble with looking at an object and being able to identify it, but with a verbal hint he can name it, and now he is even beginning to ask for the first letter himself!!! We are hoping medicade approves him to stay longer and continue in his therapy there at Rainbow! He has been engaging in games on both the ipad, and wii, he loves the dancing game and does very well with it! They said his over all attitude is confident and he is happy and always smiling, thats my Racee!!!! He will be having another swallow study to hopefully upgrade his diet, as he is doing very well with thin liquids and soft foods!! His over all health is very good!!!!!! GO RACEE!!!!! We all love you so much and are so proud of you and how hard you are working!!!! Keep it up my amazing son!!!! Blesses to all of you still pulling and praying for our Racee!!!
