Today I had the unfortunate luck of running across a Bouvier site - TopicsExpress

Today I had the unfortunate luck of running across a Bouvier site that was set up in the guise of a community that shared photos and information about Bouviers. However, upon closer examination I found it was filled with post after post of negative ramblings regarding everything from ear croppings to pictures posted by others on the web. It was a lot to wade through with poor grammar, run-on sentences, and contradicting information. The administrator clearly had a personal agenda that was far deeper than just sharing and comradery. It seemed to be an outlet to undermine others in an underhanded, roundabout way. There were many purported incidents reported; all of them giving the writer an opportunity to promote their personal agenda. It made me angry and sad. So I would like to say that if you are unlucky enough to find the site, PLEASE use some common sense in evaluating the information you find there. You HAVE to ask yourself why someone would go to that much trouble to set up a bogus community; is it to gather information from you about your Bouvs (pedigrees, etc)? Is it to bash other breeders? Why attempt undermine an entire community of breeders? Why belittle the pictures that people post? Why tell stories out of turn? People don’t behave this way without some sort of payoff…maybe it empowers them; maybe putting others down makes them feel better about themselves; maybe they are jealous, or fear competition of other breeders but whatever the reason, it is an unethical one. It is sneaky, and snarky, and mean. Nothing I can do about it, but just had to get it off my chest…thanks for listening!
