Today I have read some comments on social media that just break my heart. Yes...suicide is cruel and can be considered selfish by those left behind. We have to remember, however, that many,many people who choose this do not have the ability to see past this permanent solution to changing emotions because they have a legitimate imbalance in the brain chemicals that give the majority of people the ability to do just that. Thank God for your mental stability. I mean REALLY thank Him. You do not know the hell that some folks live through every single day until you have lived it yourself. Then...be aware. Invest yourself in the people around you. Extend the grace of God to them and have those tough conversations. Stand beside them in battle. They are so much more than just their illness. They are our friends, our family, our children. And they are dearly loved by their Creator who is aware of each and every thought...reasonable and not so much.
