Today I helped my friend move out of her house. It has been a roller coast, terrible couple of months for her. Sadly, she is one of five of my friends whos marriages have broken down over the past 2 months. All have little kids - the youngest is 16 months old and all have two or three kids. My heart is heavy for these families tonight. The kids lives will change and the reality for each of my friends is hard, scary, largely unknown and daunting (their words). They have found themselves as single mothers to beautiful kids and with all five they were blindsided. Christmas is not going to be a happy time for any of these families. If my friend who moved out today knows she is part of a wider, loving community and finds new friends and families to share her life with, hopefully it will go some way to easing the pain.
