Today, I hung out with a new friend (another transplant to Colorado) that I met two weeks ago because it was his Birthday and nobody should have to spend their Birthday alone. Im still getting settled in my new environment and I feel like Im back home living in 15 different places because Im house/dog/chicken sitting for some fellow travelers currently so my belongings are scattered between two places. Anyways... I made a handwritten card for this new friend and gave it to him. He shared with me towards the end of the day that hes NEVER, let me repeat... NEVER... Received a Birthday card from a friend - in his entire life. This thought blew my mind. Ive saved every single card Ive ever received - they always mean more to me than any gift ever has. He joked about framing his first card... Was he really joking? Who knows. Point of the story... Find what youre naturally authentically good at and do that, as often as you can. Or not even necessarily good at - my card looked like a 6 year old made it. Doesnt matter the skill level - if it comes from the heart - do it. The thought and action is sometimes all that is needed to brighten someones world. Let your soul shine, its guaranteed to touch many lives. #SerendipityDrifter
