Today I learned I have had an unbiblical paradigm of both heaven and of the fear of the Lord. So much of what I get frustrated at looking at Facebook is rooted in the fear of man rather than the fear of God. Folks think they know exactly what happened in that shooting and loudly proclaim it. My own attitudes and thoughts can descend into the battle the enemy wants us to fight with each other. I dont want to play into the enemys hand. Once I get here, though I still care about the direction of our nation, I can see the things going on here and realize my home isnt here. The elected idiot class can do what they will, my mission here doesnt change. Where the enemy is so effective against believers is in making them fear men and think the fear of the Lord is merely reverence. In our comfortable Christian culture we are too easily taken by the fear of man and get all p. c., not proclaiming the truth of the Bible, even on the unpopular parts. Anyone guilty of this verse? I have been. Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him. Eph 5:17 tells us to not be unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Not just what we THINK it is or WANT it to be. Guess it goes back to the fear thing. Man or God? Pr 9:10 the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
