Today I meet with Linda to get the rewrites for the Jamie book. She said, You can have it for the long weekend, then we burst into laughter. Who would be pleased at having a 400 page novel to rewrite over a holiday weekend? Me!! Finally, my new Random House contract is nearly done. It is for 6 books, 3 hard and 3 soft. This is very exciting. Whatever am I going to do with all those paperbacks? They need to have a common thread through them. So do I do some magic or not? If I do magic, should I do something new or pull up something old? I could use fairy godmothers from Wishes. Or move the Summer House books to Virginia. Linda wants me to do an inn but I fear the stories might be too much of a soap opera. At this stage Im trying to think of every possibility and let them churn around in my mind. I keep thinking of a retired genie from a bottle. That might be fun. Everyone asks me whats the difference between writing hardback and paper. For me, there is none. I just write the books and Linda and the pub people decide what is what. What do you expect to be different between hard and soft bound books? Jaime V, why were you mad at Corey? Jude
