Today I met Dr.Sulabha Vichare(Age around 75),having clinic near Dagdi Chawl.During our conversation coincidently Arun Gavlis topic came and Mam started telling some of his memories regarding Gavli.Dr told that when she started the clinic Gavli was around 16-17,school drop out guy.Gavli have origin from Indore with surname Ahir means cow serving people.Gavli too have religious views and he worships the cow.During that time Byculla West was very much clean and cool place having population more of Hindu community than Muslim(Today situation is reverse).Gavlis mother Still wears traditional saree.From his childwood only he got love with one Muslim Girl from that locality and successfully resulted into marriage.Dr told that Gavli was very kind to Elder ones and Woman,when One person Pawar complainted about one of his man threatening to Pawars Daughter then Gavli beaten his man too badly.Gavli made God father image with People of Dagdi chawl which converted the Dagdi Chawl into not less than any Fort! With the time Gavli became Arun to Bhai and then Daddy.Created lots of terror in the mind of People,Police and and opposite Gangs.One day one reporter asked question to Gavli that how you Live in such a Fearful and bloodful atmosphere then Gavli replied the Song from Mother India Duniya me Aaye ho to Jinahi Padega...Agar Jindagi hai Zaher to Pinahi Padega...!
