Today, I mutually ended a 6.5 month relationship with a therapist. This is huge for me to put out here on the interwebs because like all humans, I hate to admit weakenesses or flaws. Yet, my therapist helped me, along with intensive soul searching and self-propelled personal development, to embrace my imperfections. She helped me by pointing out that my striving for perfection left me depressed, unsatisfied with life, and exhausted both mentally and physically...despite all the good things. Through major changes and a mass amount of hard work, I have learned that my imperfections make me ME, just as I was created (trust me, this wasnt easy). I have so much appreciation for my therapist, and Im grateful I reached out for help when I needed it.
