Today I picked up an Elderly partially sighted gent who is a regular customer of ours. He told me that this morning he was due to attend a meeting at Ernest English House in Buckwell Street however the guy with the key had failed to show leaving him stood in the rain for an hour. He told me that a Kindly Plymouth Taxi driver(606060) pulled over and asked him if he was okay. He said he had driven past on three occasions and seen him standing in the rain. He asked wouldnt the man be more comfortable if he sat on his walking trolley. The old man said he would but it was soaking. The taxi driver fetched a towel from his cab and dried the mans seat and then got a cushion from his cab for him to sit on. Taxi drivers get a lot of bad press but this driver who ever you are well done.
