Today I picked up my new dental appliance to combat an increasingly degenerative case of TMJ. I thought it fit ok...well it does, as long as I dont swallow. I have tried and tried, but I start gagging every time I try to use it. I could possibly walk around drooling everywhere, aside from the fact I might draw a few stares and break sanitation rules OR I can attempt to swallow spit and end up vomiting on someone! If indeed Ive spent a thousand dollars on a piece of plastic that I cant use and insurance wont cover...I will be very sad....very sad indeed. Any appliance wearers out there with some advice?
