Today I popped my cherry and went under my house in the crawl space. Oh the joys of home owning! My house was built in 1954, the plumbing is all cast iron. Cast iron has a life expectancy of 50-60 years. Yesterday I found out that the water main is cracked/rotted and is leaking waste water into pools under the house. Solution? Dig out all the existing piping under the house and replace with plastic. At Home Depot now with the contractor, let the money spending begin!!
