Today I received an angry message from a customer who wanted me to give away 50 cupcakes to their charity. I had maxed out my charity budget for the month so I offered wholesale prices. They sent me an angry response saying that I wasnt supporting my community by trying to make a profit and then he blocked me so I couldnt even write a written apology. I hope that by posting this maybe he will see this and realize when a community member gives back to a small business- even by meeting in the middle and paying discounted wholesale prices, they are putting food on my table so I can thrive, and eventually helping me to continue giving back to my community-whether through charity or awesome new creations. I dont normally rant but I felt the need to stand up and have a voice for not just myself but small businesses. I love my community, the other local businesses in it and would love to give everything away for free, believe me :). but its all about supporting each other
