Today, I return to work having been gone about a month recovering - TopicsExpress

Today, I return to work having been gone about a month recovering from my heart attack. I reflect back to the days of law school about how it came before anything else. I had such a burning desire to learn all I could. During that time, I was working as an environmental specialist and wrote grant applications nearly every day. After that, I went on to clerk for the late Honorable Richard Dorrough, and it was in his courtroom when the things I learned in law school all began to make sense. It was an honor and I cherished each day. After that, I went on to be an environmental consultant to a $20 million grant housing project in Mobile for Hurricane Katrina. I missed working in the legal field so very much. I am fortunate and blessed to have been with Bill Blanchard now for about four years. My passion for the law has grown and I have truly come to know and understand what attorney and counselor at law means. I have done the best I could to improve and help clients more by improving my craft. Although I have not yet passed the Bar Exam, my compassion for clients has grown and I embrace the challenges of each persons case. I have not been more dedicated to another field. I know my nervousness is just that I hope I will go back and do well and serve others to the best of my ability. I could have just as easily not survived the heart attack, but the fact is I did. So now I am going to get back to the business of living and working. Ive missed my colleagues and clients. I pray this morning that The Lord gives me the ability to do well.
