Today, I spent 5 hours at the shop. (antiques and crafts mall) Had to rearrange, pull out Patriotic stuff and do some general cleanup. What gets my goat though is when people rip into packages, unfold quilts and throw them down in a wad on a chair or spill something on one. Yes, I found a spill today. Not a happy camper. Had to bring it home to launder and the spot didnt come out. Thoroughly ticked me off! But the best part was finding rolls of fabric unrolled or missing price tags and then a customer stopping by to tell me how I need to arrange my booths. I didnt bother telling her Ive been in this business since the early 80s. All of a sudden I needed to make a trip to my truck. (Ostrich syndrome......... maybe if I close my eyes, shell go away.......... giggle) As for the wadded up quilt, it really makes me want to go to that persons house and wad up all the linens in their linen closet. Just sayin....... That may sound mean but Geez Louise! If their kids left a mess like that in their room, they would never hear the end of it. Why do people think its okay to do that in stores? Okay, Ill shut up and stop venting now. Honestly though, Im never surprised by the things I find in my booths. I do think Ive seen just about everything..... And it was such a cute, UNSPOTTED lavender 4 patch quilt for a baby girl too. I could boo-hoo-hoo! Gonna try the Dawn trick next. Ill let you know how it works out.
