Today I struck up a conversation with a young lady in the breakfast room of the motel we are staying in whilst in Calera OK. I was sitting at the table studying from the book of Hebrews chapter one. Whatshe commented I like to study too and seeing an open door and wanting so much to teach her tabout the gospel I replied so, what do you like to study? After listenning to her explain that she was studying Hebrew language, I said to her do you go to church anywhere? She aptly responded no, I dont but I have been baptized I responded wow, thats great, why were you baptized? She responded well Ive been thinking I might need to be baptized again because Im not sure I understand the significance of in the name of Jesus but I know that the Bible teaches immersion. We talked to and fro some and then I asked her, do you know the Bible reason given for baptism? I took her to Acts two and had her read verses 37-38. The look on her face said it all! She loved to learn what the Bible taught. We studied around the subject of making sure our authority only comes from the Bible. Finally I thought, where is this hoing to go? It was then that I asked to her would you be interested in studying the Bible with the local church of Christ preacher here in Calera? Her reply was wonderful and exciting as she immedistely gave her contact details and asked for the preachers name and the church building address. This is the joy of evangelism to see souls respond positively and eventually be saved. Please pray for Karla who works at the motel and the studies she will enter into with brother Travis. She has a hunger for the truth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6
