Today, I took a tumble. Was over at my daughters helping prepare for her sons Saturday birthday party (he turned 7 today!). The kids were outside playing with a new toy and I felt they needed my assistance in properly understanding the nuances of playing this game. I ran out, deftly leapt in the air to swat the koosh ball back towards David and began to fall. Their yard is a series of terraces and we were on the 2nd level when the tumble began. I sort of cavorted along down the incline trying to avoid the fall but then I realized Id best fall on the grass for I was fast headed for the concrete patio. Heres the assessment of my injuries - first crunched my 2nd toe, then went right into the twisting of my ankle, finally landed on my knee - scraped and ugly, next was the right hip (the bane of old ladies), followed by the right shoulder and finally just laid down the head literally inches from the concrete patio corner. Cat and the kids ran over frantically to see if I was okay and after a bit I was able to get up and hobble into the house. Now back at home and I am so sore - can hardly stand, sit or walk but Ill live. Punch line of the day was when my granddaughter, while trying to comfort me said, Nana, I didnt even know you could run!! ha,ha I had so much fun being around the kids today that I have decided not to sue the homeowners. Happy, happy birthday to our precious David and more fun to come on Saturday, sweet boy!!
