Today I visit Matsuricon, but as I said, I am going to compile my list I said I would on Monday/Tuesday/whenever it was. 10 favourite people Ive met from conventions (that arent voice actors): (If you dont make the list, Im sorry lol) Ive met SO many people over the past 5 years from conventions, and so many I dont even have contact information for unfortunately, so I met em once and never again. Many have made a great impact on my life in one way or another. 10. Robbie Martin (Ohayocon 2013) ~ Robbie met up with me following my run of my favourite (and then, only) panel: One Piece According to 4Kids. We talked for like... an hour, and hes really been friendly. Weve hung out a few times, we had Game Night at someones apartment, hes told me a lot of things, helped me through some things, and been a great person in my life. 9. Mike Flury (Ohayocon 2013) ~ He saw me before I saw him, seeing my panel and knowing who I am. When he contacted me, I had no idea who he was, but now I know him as the old pervert. Hes a chill guy, but we all joke hes a paedophile, hahaha. Very great person to have met. 8. Ryan Obenour (Colossalcon 2014) ~ Ryan is a very caring person, doing anything to make sure I am ok. Weve hung out a handful of times outside the convention and its a blast. Hoping for more, Ryan 7. Marissa Lynn (Ohayocon 2013) ~ Ive only met her twice, but shes really cool. We used to chat on Skype and play stuff like Minecraft a lot, I opened up to her and shes been very supportive to me despite her getting busy over the past year or so. 6/5. Holly Fae Geisinger (Ohayocon 2012) and Richard Huguenot (Ohayocon 2013) (share a placement :P) ~ What a wonderful couple. Theyve supported my panels and me over the past few years, and theyre great people to chat up. I know theyre busy a lot but I still get a chance to speak to both sometimes. 4. Michael TheCheat Horvat (Ohayocon 2014) ~ I warmed up to Mike really fast. Hes ultra-friendly and bro-like, and hes listened to me vent some and open a bit about my past. Hoping for more bro-like stuff in the future. 3. Blake Brinkley (Matsuricon 2011) ~ For those who didnt read up a few days ago: this guy is the reason that Im doing panels more or less, or at least hes a major component of why. I met him during a panel he didnt have much of any material for since his flash drive was missing, and it was a complete blast. We met personally Sunday and he was really friendly to me. I added him on Facebook and Skype and he often participated on calls with me and the guy in the #1 slot. Over the years following, hes cheered me up, told me tons of great stories, and has gotten me from several really bad situations. I dont believe he gets enough credit for what hes done for me. 2. Courtney Nieman (Ohayocon 2014) ~ This is the most wonderful girl that Ive met. Until I met her, Ive never felt so loved in my life, and Ive never given anyone so much love over the past 22 years of my life. Shes very selfless, kindhearted, and manages to cheer me up even when I feel completely shitty. I love my Nami~! 1. Gregorius Hardewig (Matsuricon 2010) ~ Of course, who didnt see this coming? Everyone who knows me really personally knows that Greg is basically my non-biological brother, like Ace-Sabo-Luffy kind of way. Hes been hanging with me for the longest of people on this list, meeting at Matsuricon 2010. When I first met up with Greg, he was cosplaying Waluigi (or Skinny-Skinny as he and I know him). It was very strange, we kept bumping into each other in different areas, kept on talking, and it lead to me getting his full name after much laughing and conversation-making. Luckily he wrote it out, and I almost didnt remember it! Luckily, I remembered it, and then added him on Facebook. We chatted some and then I got his name on Skype. During that summer and then summer 2011, we talked for HOURS and HOURS and HOURS and HOURS, nonstop, literally we could have 8 hour conversations and I can still remember bits and pieces of them. Our calls would go late into the night, sometimes until 5 am. Over the years, weve done silly things like on April Fools 2013 we put us as in a relationship with each other and wrote stupid, flirty, swell things on each others walls. I think a huge contribution hes made, and he might now even be aware of this, is how I felt not so lonely at night. I had someone, quite some distance from where I am, talking with me nonstop about random things until we got sleepy. When I met him, by that point, I didnt have many people from high school that were close to me (this was pre-Team Shenanigans). Hell, during high school, it was either you loved me or you hated me, and many factors contributed to it. With that said, I didnt bond with many people to a tight degree, so having someone who had this desire to speak this much was uplifting for me. I mean I can go into so much detail about how much this man has changed everything. He knows it, since Ive told him several times recently. For one, he got me into the series One Piece, and that led me down so many avenues. I probably would have never met half the people on this list had it not been for Greg. Thanks for everything these past 4 years, Greg. Heres to more
