Today I was Joanns getting fabric with my friend for his League cosplay, and one of the workers recognized me. She had cut my fabric a few times in the past and always asked what I am working on. Shes an older lady, a sweet grandma is what she reminds me of. As I walked up to have my fabric cut by her, she jokingly smiled and said, Oh what fun things are you making now? I showed her a picture and she was really impressed and thought it was really cool. She started asking about my sewing and cosplaying. And talked about how Im always making fun things for these conventiond. Then she told me that I need to post pictures of all the costumes I make online and start taking commissions. She kept telling me if I keep this up I can get somewhere with my sewing skills; and that I should be making a name for myself. I dont know why, but having a stranger praise my sewing skills to the extent that I could start a business and make serious money just really just touched me. It was so sweet of her! >w< (Im only 16. Im proud of my sewing skills. So things like this just make me super happy. X3)
