Today I was contacted by someone on FB who wanted my help in finding her mothers dear friend who left a suicide note and hasnt been seen since. When I looked at the missing persons fb page. all I see is a bunch of well meaning people not knowing what they are doing, going out driving all over the place and of course not finding her vehicle or remains. So with my 43 years of experience in SAR and 12 years in Law enforcement, I offered my services for free. I spent over an hour going into great detail what they need to do to get organized, over head management skills, planning, briefing and debriefings, mapping out the areas of highest probability. What I got in return was cussed at and ignored. WOW. Really? Ive brought closurer to over 3,997 families around the world. And they want to sit there and call me names and ignore me?
