Today I was up by Sky Mall. I had to walk through the car-park in the broiling sun in order to get to Scotia-bank, as I had parked on the other, not realizing that the internal access was blocked. Of course that is because the new supermarket is under renovation and construction. It was all barred off by caution tape. The area was dusty and slightly messy, decorated by a skip to take the garbage. I got to thinking that at times our lives look like this. When God is doing renovations in our lives, pulling down the old ways of thinking and behaving, and retrofitting with the new, the transition from the outside seems uninviting to the passer by. It is however not the end of the journey but merely a transition phase, as God is working systematically to transform us so that his image is reflected in us, instead of the the brokenness that people now see. There is hope friends, God is not finished with you, or me, just yet, and he is the RE God. Redeem, revive, rebuild, renovate, restructure, replace, revamp, and the list goes on, but the end result will be worth it all.
