Today, I watch my Sylvia ( my silver SUV),drive away for the last time. She has been sold. I kept her too long but she was so dependable. The memories are like a Hallmark card: the birth of my daughter, changing my daughter ( she refused to be changed on a changing table), bringing home sprinkles, our dog ( He shook for two hours), even the memory of hitting black ice and skidding into a ditch,she kept me safe. She is going to her new home with a BoHo professor, who is moving to a warm climate. I have a new car with bells and whistles, but it Sylvia who will always remain priceless to me.
