Today I went through a deep study of extrusion process ( one of my presentations of bricks preparation process in 3rd semester) the only difference was of the input material (instead of mud and water solution it was daal and gosht :P) and in output (instead of bricks it was kebab :P) and most important this process was manual and indeed batch process and after deep study of that process Im confirmed about following 1. Its cleaning is very difficult indeed very irritating. It took about 45 minutes to dispatch whole machine and then cleaning each part. :D 2.A lot of material is wasted in extrusion. after 45 minutes of cleaning operation I was able to recover about 70% material from which I further made 2 and 1/2 kebabs. rest of 30% material went wasted :( oh oh wait I forgot to mention the last operation is also different. I will fry the kebabs in fry-pan rather than placing them in tunnel furnace at a temperature of about 850-1000 degree Celsius. but I must say here one more thing is similar in the two processes. the colour of output( kebab/brick) depends on temperature and the time for which they are placed in either furnace or fry-pan. :P Iqra Farooq, Iqra Tariq, Iqra Arshad, Mariam Masood, Nazia Baig, Noshaba Noreen, Syeda Sadia, Smiley Blossom
