Today I write to say - thank you. One month ago today I had my stroke. Today I was released to drive (I know that scares some of you - :) ). I also can return to the office next week part-time. I will work on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and will continue with outpatient rehab/therapy on Tuesday and Friday. I am truly amazed at how far I have come - and I owe it to many of you for your prayers, thoughts, karma, good wishes - and just being there for me! Thank you. I can start using my cane and only use the walker for long walks, late in the day when tired, etc. I still have a way to go - my leg/foot still does its thing where it wants to pitch me forward and my left thumb and index finger are numb. Grasping things - even popcorn - is tricky sometimes and also raising a glass to my mouth! With time and continued rehab this will, hopefully, improve. Ive learned to improvise and make things work. I can only say how much I appreciate each of you. Please continue to keep me - and our many others who need prayer - in your thoughts. Thane
