Today Jill and I left Gettysburg,pa. and drove to Fredericksburg, Va. Not cities have the same thing in common. They were sites of horrendous Civil War Battles. I have visited many of the Civil War Battlefields and have walked away with the same conclusion. Why did this have to happen? You do not have to answer but if you have the definitive answer I would like to hear it. At Fredericksburg, soldiers of both sides were heroic, scared, fierce, kind and numerous other adjectives. However, even then why did soldiers walk into blazing rifles without hesitation. Who receives the blame for our American Tragedy. My culprits are the politicians of the era for both sides. Our Civil War was beyond tragic and is still worth debating, if you drive through our beautiful Middle stares of Pa, Md and Va, stop at one of our too many battlefields. View it and draw your own conclusion why the peoples of two regions of our beautiful country had to Massacre each other.
